USEFP Fulbright Scholarship Program. The United States Educational Foundation in Pakistan (USEFP) is inviting applications for the 2024 Fulbright Scholar Program.

This program supports up to 12 months of a lectureship, post-doctoral research, or a combination in the United States. college or university. Individuals selected are expected to share information about Pakistani civilization and culture with students, colleagues, and society. On returning to Pakistan, Fulbright scholars are expected to make a significant contribution to the development of Pakistan and share their experiences in the United States with students, colleagues, and community groups in Pakistan.

Grant Benefits

The grant provides flight travel, incidental research expenses, a living stipend, and health insurance. The program covers one accompanying dependent as well. USEFP will assist you with your visa application.

Eligibility

• Scholars, professionals, and artists from all disciplines are welcome to apply, except for those in the field of clinical medicine.
• Ph.D. or terminal degree in respective relevant fields.
• Applicants must have held their degree for at least two years.
• Excellent English communication and writing skills.
• A clear and well-formulated proposal outlining their objectives in the United States and how it aligns with their work in Pakistan.
• Candidates applying for the lectureship must have demonstrated the ability to teach in a university setting—Pakistani citizens with strong academic backgrounds, residing and working in Pakistan.

United States Educational Foundation in Pakistan scholarship program

Around 15 scholars will be available for the year 2024. Of these, 13 niches are reserved for capability and researchers in the early stages of their research careers (2-7 years). Two places are available for senior scholars who have completed their Ph.D. or terminal degree 8-15 years ago.

Ineligibility

• Persons with dual U.S./Pakistani nationality or those who have a U.S. citizen or permanent resident spouse, parent, or child over the age of 18.
• Employees of the Fulbright Foundation, the United States Department of State, or USAID, as well as their spouses, children (over the age of 18), dependents, and parents.
• Individuals who are currently studying in the United States or on a work/residence visa in any country.
• Plagiarism, false publications, or other misrepresentations will result in program rejection at any point.
